What data we process and why

• When you write to us (email to contact@monvisuals.org): your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you. Legal basis: your consent and our legitimate interest in answering.
• When you support us through PayPal (paypal.me/monvisuals): the payment is handled by PayPal, which shares with us your name, email and the amount. We keep this information to manage donations and meet our legal obligations.
• When you browse the site: our hosting provider (GoDaddy) and its content delivery network (Cloudflare) process your IP address and technical data about your browser in order to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks. Our security plugin (Wordfence) records IP addresses of failed login attempts. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.
• Visit statistics: to know which pages are read and where our visitors come from, we count visits with a statistics tool that runs on our own server (Independent Analytics). It uses no cookies, does not store your IP address and shares no data with anyone: it keeps only aggregated information such as the page viewed, the website you came from, your approximate location (country and city) and the type of device and browser. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Third-party services that load on our pages

To display some content, your browser connects directly to these services, which may receive your IP address:

• Google Fonts (typefaces) and YouTube (embedded videos), by Google.
• Map tiles, satellite imagery and libraries from CARTO, OpenStreetMap, MapTiler, Esri (ArcGIS), NASA (Earthdata), unpkg and jsDelivr (interactive maps).
• Visura (hosting of some photographs).

Cookies

We only use technical cookies that the site needs to work: one that remembers your privacy choices (uncode_privacy) and one from Cloudflare that filters bots (__cf_bm). YouTube may set its own cookies when you play a video. You can change your choices at any time from the privacy banner.

How long we keep your data

Messages: as long as needed to answer you and follow up the conversation. Donation records: for the period required by tax law.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, restrict it or receive a copy, by writing to contact@monvisuals.org. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
